Lake Fork fishing trip FAQ

Answers to common questions before a guided bass fishing trip with Marc Mitchell.

How do I book a trip?

Call or text Marc at 903-348-3533, or send your preferred date through the contact form. Marc confirms availability directly; there is no online calendar or instant booking.

How many anglers are included?

The base rate covers one or two anglers. A third angler can join for an additional charge shown on the rates page.

What should I bring?

Bring a valid Texas fishing license, clothes suited to the season, a rain suit if needed, sunglasses, a fishing cap, food and drinks, and lotion sunscreen rather than spray. You may bring a favorite rod if you like.

Are rods and tackle provided?

Yes. Marc provides rods, reels, and tackle for the trip.

When and where do we meet?

Contact Marc a day or two before your trip for the time and meeting location. These may change based on weather and fishing conditions.

Is a deposit required?

Yes. A 50% deposit is due when you book. The balance may be paid anytime from booking through the end of your trip.

How can I pay?

Marc accepts PayPal, including credit and debit cards through PayPal, Zelle, and check. Once Marc confirms your trip and payment amount, you can use the secure PayPal checkout.

What happens if the weather is bad?

If conditions are unsafe or too nasty to fish, you may reschedule or receive a full refund of your deposit. Marc will try to work around the weather by adjusting the timing when possible.

What if I cancel?

If you cancel within 10 days of the trip, no refund is available. Contact Marc directly about any change to your plans.

Where should I stay?

Marc recommends Hampton Inn, La Quinta, and Clarion in Sulphur Springs, plus Lake Fork Marina and Sunrise Lodge on Lake Fork. Contact each property for current availability and details.

Do you also guide on other lakes?

Yes. In addition to Lake Fork, Marc guides on Lake Bois d’Arc, Lake Welsh, Lake Bob Sandlin, Lake O’ the Pines, Lake Palestine, and many other Texas lakes. Contact Marc to discuss the lake and trip you have in mind.
