MEET YOUR GUIDE

Marc Mitchell: Lake Fork fishing guide

Marc has been guiding on Lake Fork since 1982. He is the lake’s longest-tenured guide, bringing decades of on-the-water experience to each trip.

Marc’s approach is personal and hands-on. He wants guests to leave with a better understanding of bass behavior, presentations, and patterns they can use on any lake—and to enjoy the day while learning.

More than a guided fishing trip

Lake Fork since 1982

Decades on the water help Marc read changing conditions and explain why a pattern works.

Learn the “why”

Marc shares how bass move and how to recognize patterns you can apply to your own fishing.

New to a baitcaster? Teaching anglers to use one is one of Marc’s specialties.

A PERSONAL APPROACH

How Marc guides—and how he does business

Marc believes a good day with a guide should give you more than a catch. He explains the decisions behind the fishing, shares what he has learned on Lake Fork, and makes room for a good time along the way.

01 / PLAN

Talk directly with Marc

Call, text, or send a date request through the contact form. Marc personally confirms availability and trip details; there is no online calendar or automatic booking.

02 / PREPARE

Know when and where to meet

Contact Marc a day or two before your trip for the meeting time and location. He may adjust the plan to match weather and fishing conditions.

03 / FISH

Bring yourself, not a boatload of gear

Marc provides rods, reels, and tackle. Bring a valid Texas fishing license and your personal food, drinks, clothing, and sun protection.

04 / LEARN

Take the lesson home

Marc teaches bass movement, patterns, and presentations so the day can improve your fishing beyond Lake Fork. He particularly enjoys helping guests learn to use a baitcaster.
